Community Center

The Highland Community Center is a dream in the making: a place for our city, where we just happen to also meet for worship & prayer. It is a place where mentoring through performing and creative art classes takes place. It's where special events occur-sometimes for civic groups, town hall meetings, and sometimes for Christ-follower gatherings. It is also a place where we have the Prayer Gallery, a set aside space for meeting with God, and expressions of prayer and worship emerge. It's a place, where Highland says we are committed to our city (especially downtown) and asking, "how can we bless those around us?"

Right now, the community center, is just a small, humble space rented at 34 S. Lexington, with a lot of activity is bursting out of it. Maybe one day it will be "nicer" and take up more presence in downtown Asheville. But for now, with the little bit of resources we have (and our bohemian décor) we offer it and our love, loyalty, and friendship.
